What is this about? Why running and why grinding it out? I’ll tell you why, running is about one step after another, grinding it out. That’s how you start. It’s also how you keep going. And yep, it’s how you finish. The only way to get running is to start running. The whole hardest step is the first out the door thing is true, but to keep going? That’s where you grind it out. When it’s tough and your body is telling you no more, then mind over matter my friend. Then deep down in the recesses of your being you find the strength to be mighty warrior and take the next step. And the next and the next. Then you’ve mastered yourself on this run. You’ve learned something too. You can do it! Which in turn creates the confidence to do it again, to take that step out of the door and run!
